A young lady named Mary lived deep in the woods. She would collect herbs and sell them at the local villagers market. One evening two children went to play in the woods and went missing. Soon afterwards the lady from the woods started to sell an elixir which she claimed would restore your youth. Some of the villagers tried this potion, even the sceptical ones who wanted to disprove her claims. But those who took the elixir began to notice they started to look younger in just under a few days. Soon the mysterious medicine had sold out and was in great demand, so she promised the villagers she would provide more very soon.
Later that season more children went missing. They were last seen venturing into the woods, after which the elixir of youth was readily available again. A pattern seemed to be emerging which made some of the villagers suspicious of Mary and her elixir of youth. Some of her patrons appeared to look like the faces of the missing children. The villagers were starting to make accusations of witchery against Mary. The number of children in the village had dwindled so low the villagers began to panic, a number of them gathered one night to face Mary in the woods. They forced their way into Mary's house, and to their horror find the floor littered with bones! They realise that they were the skeletal remains of children. In anger they barricaded Mary in her house and set it alight. As it burnt down they could hear the tormenting screams of Mary coming from within the blazing house. The screams soon change to chants which then ceases as the torched house falls to the ground with only ashes remaining.
The next night a farmer's wife holds a candle to her mirror and finds frightening words have been placed there, she reads out the words aloud which is soon followed by her screams! Soon the screams are heard from within neighbouring houses. All the mirrors in the village have been stained in blood, with the words "Bloody Mary" written three times. The villagers realise that Mary has placed a curse on the village, so they forbade anyone from chanting the words Bloody Mary three times in front of a candle lit mirror at night. Those who do may see the reflection of the vengeful frightful witch Mary in their mirror!
